  • Do you require Time Angle Control & Auto Reverse?
  • Will the screwdriver be used in an ESD-controlled environment?
  • Is adjustable RPM important for the fastening process?
  • Will the tool be used for continuous high-production assembly?

The answers to these questions will help determine the appropriate NF-Series model for your application.

Setup & Adjustment

NF-Series tools require:

  • STC40 Transformer (Item #145754) as the power supply.
  • Appropriate bit selection for the fastener.
  • Torque adjustment based on the application using the external torque adjustment mechanism.
  • Torque verification using a calibrated torque analyzer.

Certain NF-Series models require the Program Lock Key (Item #145774) to adjust RPM and Soft Start settings. The Program Lock Key connects to the STC40 Transformer during setup.

Can the Torque Be Adjusted Later?

Yes.

The NF-Series features an external torque adjustment scale, allowing torque to be adjusted within the model's specified range. After adjustment, Mountz recommends verifying the torque setting with a calibrated torque analyzer before returning the tool to production.
